New Teachers for 2011!

Cross Creek welcomes three new teachers to the staff for the 2011-2012 school year!  Mrs. Sara Baney (left) is our new 8th Grade ELA teacher.  Mrs. Baney is a graduate of Grand Valley State University and comes to us from Walker Charter Academy, where she was a Middle School ELA Para Pro.  She also taught in Comstock Public Schools and at East Grand Rapids High School.
 
 
Mrs. Gwen Ballast (center) is our new third grade teacher.  Gwen is a graduate of Calvin College and previously taught at Dutton Christian School in multiple grades before she stayed home to raise her children.  Mrs. Ballast is not necessarily new to Cross Creek.  She was a Para Pro and also taught third grade here last year as a long term substitute.
 
 
Ms. Kyleigh Parks (right) is our new 7th Grade ELA teacher.  Ms. Parks is a graduate of Hope College and comes to us from Ridge Park Academy, where she was a Para Pro.  Ms. Parks also taught at various Holland Schools including Vanderbilt Charter Academy, Harbor Lights Middle School, and Pine Ridge Elementary. 
 
 
We are very excited to welcome our new staff!  They are looking forward to starting the year and meeting their new students.
