National Heritage Academies recently honored Achieve Charter Academy and Canton Charter Academy in Canton with 2010-11 Eagle Awards. Achieve Academy received Academic Growth and Parent Loyalty Awards, while Canton Academy was honored with Employee Engagement and Parent Loyalty Awards.
 
In order to receive an Academic Growth Award, NHA requires the school to rank in the 90th percentile or above nationally in terms of the percentage of students meeting typical RIT growth targets in reading and mathematics.
 
To be selected for the Parent Loyalty Award, NHA requires 60 percent or more of a school's parents be “very satisfied” with their child's school — a statistic measured by an internally-generated parent survey.
