Bryan Cannon, Principal

Previous education experience:

K-2 Physical Education Teacher 1990-2000 in Baltimore, Maryland.

Assistant Principal Cobb County Georgia 2000-2005.

Principal East Saint Louis School District 189 2005-2008

Principal at Normandy School District, Saint Louis, Missouri 2008-2010

Principal at Alliance Academy 2010 to present.

 

Other work experience:

12 years Army National Guard, Field Artiller

 

Personal Information:

Motorcycle riding, Breed Bull Terriers, working out, jogging, traveling, member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity

 
 

Jenny White, Dean

 

Education:

Miami University Oxford, Ohio - Bachelor of Science, Early Childhood Education

Miami University Oxford, Ohio -  Master of Arts,Teaching.

 

Previous education experience:

Kindergarten teacher for 4 years at Alliance Academy: 2006-2010

2nd year as Dean 2010-2011; 2011-2012

 

What do you like most about working here? 

Watching the growth we have made as s school over the past 6 years and watching individual students make tremendous growth.
 

Personal Information:

I enjoy exercising and spending time with family and friends.
 
 

Kellan Asbach, Dean

Education:

 Xavier University - Bachelor of Social Science ,Early Childhood Education
Xavier University - Master of Education (Administration); Principal Licensure (K-6) for Ohio.
 

Previous education experience:

  • 3rd Grade Teacher:  8/2004-November 2007
  • Literacy Specialist:  November 2007-March 2008
  • Dean:  March 2008-Present

Other work experience:

   

 
Teacher at Sylvan Learning center August 2003-December 2004.  Substitute Teacher January 2004-May 2004.
 

Personal Information:

I am married with young children.  I enjoy exercising and spending time with family and friends.
 
 

Dr. Emanuel Alston, Jr., Dean

Education:

  • NOVA Southeastern University, Doctor of Education

  • Georgia Southern University, Reading

  • Long Island University, School District Administration

  • University of South Carolina, BS

 

Previous education experience:

  • Four years as a 5th grade teacher

  • Seven years as a high school counselor

  • Seven years as an Assistant Principal in both elementary and middle school settings

 

Personal Information:
Mr. Alston is also president and part owner of a prescription eyewear company.
